January 18, 2019 Toledo, OR – The Toledo Boomers picked up their fourth straight win by defeating the visiting Gold Beach Panthers 67-31.

There really isn’t much to say about the game.  The Panthers (0-3, 2-13) executed some nice plays but, for the most part, could not match the skill level of the Boomers.  Gold Beach has eight games remaining in the season.  They do have a chance of picking up wins over Bandon and Reedesport.

The Boomers currently sit in second place in the 2A-4 Sunset Conference with a league record of 4-1.  Their only league loss coming at the hands of  Coquille 58-25.  Toledo is playing better each game but, are still a little rough.  At this point they are not quite ready to take on the top teams in the 2A.

The Boomers are now 13-3 overall and next face Dayton (1-3, 8-10) in a non-league game that will be played Monday, January 21 at Chemeketa Community College as part of the MLK Showcase.  Game time is set for 6:15.

Gold Beach host Myrtle Point (2-3, 7-10) Tuesday, January 22.  Game time is set for 5:30.
