The Battle at the Beach tournament hosted by the Newport Cubs was not gratifying for the Cubs. They finished the tourney 0-4. They had losses to Taft, Junction City, Pendleton and Tillamook.
All the teams we observed were looking pretty rough. It’s too bad they don’t get a spring training season like the pros.
